Too cold for me

Came back from Manchester this morning. The cold weather there was a shock for my body. I think it was around -2C and because I´m not used to the cold weather anymore I catched a cold. I guess I can blame myself for going out with not enough winter clothes and no hat. I have no fever luckily but I´ve lost my voice so i feel like I´m living in a Charlie Chaplin movie.
Now hoping to get fit for my Moscow flight in 2 days. The weather forecast is -15C so I better pack smarter this time.

Dreaming right now of a holiday here..

Ipad

On a recent US trip I surprised myself by buying an Apple Ipad. I´m not really that in to the latest gadgets but I´ve been planning to buy a mini PC for a long time now so I thought that the Ipad would be a good option. So now I spend most of my spare time playing all the games I´ve downloaded. My favourite game at the moment is called Myst. The only negative thing about the Ipad is that you have to pay for all the games and applications..

How to save your overnight allowance

Just arrived back from Paris this morning. Stayed at an airport hotel so there wasn´t that much to do. I felt a little cheap this time so I tried to save as much as possible of my overnight allowance in €uros.

This is how you save your allowance:
After checking in at the hotel and a couple of hours of rest in the room jump on the free bus to the airport. Try to find a McDonalds at the airport but if all of them are closed buy sandwiches for 13 euros from a supermarket for dinner and brunch for the next day. Sleep 12 hours and fly back the next day with an extra 77euros in your pocket to be spent on Christmas gifts for your loved ones.
I wonder how come air crew have a reputation of being cheap...

A bit confusing...

Winter has arrived

Everyone seems to be talking about the weather no matter where they live so I guess I have to comment as well on the current weather conditions in this area of the world.
Finally the weather has "cooled" down a little bit after a very hot summer. During the day it´s now around 30 degrees and in the night around 25. A nice wind makes it very pleasant to go for a walk or run outside. There are even clouds in the sky which is a very unusual sight so now I´m waiting for the first rain of the season.
This week was the first time in a long long time when I was able to keep a window or balcony door open for a longer time. Next step will be to clean off all the sand and dust from the balcony and sit down for a cup of coffee.

Came back this morning from Milan. It was poaring rain when we arrived which was a very nice change. Now I have a couple of days off and then I´m off to Los Angeles.
